Purpose:
The purpose of this e-learning module is to transfer the required knowledge, that will provide the learner with a thorough understanding of the signs and hazards of unconsciousness, and appropriate measures to take for the casualty.

- Define unconsciousness.
- Describe the different levels of consciousness.
- State the causes of unconsciousness.
- Explain the dangers of being unconscious.
- Explain the appropriate first aid measures to treat an unconscious casualty.
- Describe appropriate procedures for positioning an unconscious casualty.
- Describe the two main methods of opening the airway.
