Purpose:
The purpose of this e-learning module is to transfer the required knowledge, that will provide the learner with a thorough understanding of the Regulations set out in Title 3, that cover living and recreational facilities onboard ships to promote seafarer welfare.
Learning Objectives:

- Summarize the minimum standards for ventilation, heating and lighting in seafarer accommodation spaces.
- Summarize the minimum standards for mess rooms.
- Summarize the standards for sanitary facilities onboard, and laundry facilities.
- Summarize the standards for hospital accommodation onboard.
- Summarize the standards for recreational facilities onboard.
- Describe the routines and records required to ensure the ship’s accommodation remains in good condition.
- Summarize the minimum standards required for food and catering onboard.
