Purpose:
The purpose of this e-learning module is to transfer the required knowledge, that will provide the learner with a thorough understanding of the dangers of enclosed spaces and precautions to take prior to entry when attending a casualty, and the dangers of blood and other bodily fluids from  persons suffering from infectious diseases. 
 
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this module, you will be able to: 
State the dangers of making entry into enclosed spaces. 
State why the atmosphere in an enclosed space may not be safe to support life. 
State the precautions to take before entering an enclosed space. 
State the dangers of blood and other excretion from person’s suffering from infectious disease such as hepatitis and HIV. 
State the precautions to take for self-protection when providing First Aid to infected persons. 
Describe the correct procedures for disposing of infected blood and other excretions.
