Purpose:
The purpose of this e-learning module is to transfer the required knowledge, that will provide the learner with a thorough understanding of the procedures to follow and precautions to take for the loading and safe stowing of steel coils 
 
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this module, you will be able to: 
Describe the different types of steel coils, and how they are packaged.
Explain the precautions to be taken prior to loading steel coils. 
Describe how steel coils are loaded and moved to their stowage position in the hold.
Describe the procedure for placing coils in their stowage position to create a secure stow.
Describe the different loading patterns for different sized coils. 
Explain how compression damage is caused to coils.
Describe the best method of lashing coils.
